CWIL Founder Diana Marshall to Receive Lifetime of Excellence in Advocacy Award

CWIL Founder Diana Marshall will receive the Lifetime of Excellence in Advocacy Award from the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists (TACTAS).

CWIL Founder Diana Marshall will receive the Lifetime of Excellence in Advocacy Award from the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists (TACTAS). TACTAS provides service to the public interest and advances the standards of the legal profession in the area of civil trial and appellate practices. Other TACTAS Lifetime of Excellence in Advocacy honorees include the late Joe Jamail, Finis Cowan, Richard Mithoff, and David Beck. Diana will be the first woman to receive this award.

Diana runs her own litigation boutique specializing in civil trial, mediation and arbitration. Diana has handled hundreds of cases, including over a hundred jury verdicts. In recent years, on over a dozen matters, she has worked as “the lawyers’ lawyer,” having been chosen by other lawyers and firms to represent them in substantial matters. Time Magazine named her as one of the Top Five Women Trial Lawyers in America. She has been honored by admission as a Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers and The American Board of Trial Advocates. She is in the permanent video collection of The Smithsonian of “The Trial Lawyers” and Houston Press named her as one of four “Women Men Fear.” This past March, Diana was recognized by the Association of Women Attorneys as one of the Premier Women in Law.
