CWIL Founder Janiece Longoria Named 2017 Maritime Person of the Year

CWIL Founder Janiece Longoria, Chairman of the Port Commission, Port of Houston Authority, has been named the 2017 Maritime Person of the Year by the Greater Houston Port Bureau.

CWIL Founder Janiece Longoria, Chairman of the Port Commission, Port of Houston Authority, has been named the 2017 Maritime Person of the Year by the Greater Houston Port Bureau.

Chairman Longoria’s enthusiastic dedication to advancing the port region and building for the future of maritime commerce has positioned the Port of Houston as a globally competitive port and a key economic driver for the Houston region.”

Longoria was unanimously appointed as Chairman by the City of Houston and Harris County on January 8, 2013, and has served on the Port Commission since 2002.
