Ms. Esparza joined The Center for Women in Law in 2020.  Prior to CWIL, Ms. Esparza was with Ascension Seton as Director of Strategic Operations overseeing Workforce Development, Diversity & Inclusion.  She also represented Ascension Seton on the Board of Directors for Workforce Solutions Capital Area, Austin’s workforce development board.

She has also served in various leadership roles, including seven years as an Executive Human Resources Director with Whole Foods Market where she was responsible for organizational development, talent management, learning and development, employee relations, benefits, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement.  Between 1998 and 2005, Ms. Esparza practiced law, primarily employment and labor litigation.  This practice included serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas.

Esparza is a proud alumna of The University of Texas School of Law.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.  She has also earned recognition as a Senior Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP).
