Karen Hirschman Larsen

Karen has more than 27 years of experience as a top-rated litigator handling major commercial disputes. She was a partner with Vinson & Elkins LLP until December of 2010, and now serves as a neutral on the American Arbitration Association’s national Commercial litigation panel.

Karen was a founding member of the Vinson & Elkins Women’s Initiative, served on V&E’s Management Committee, and was chairman of the firm’s Talent Management Committee and Women’s Initiative.

Karen received a B.A. with high honors from the University of Delaware in 1973, an M.A. in 1980 from The University of Texas, and her J.D. with honors from The University of Texas School of Law in 1983.

Karen is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® in business litigation, 2005; in commercial litigation, 2006 – 2011; in professional malpractice law, 2009 – 2011; in bet-the-company litigation, 2010 and 2011, and in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in litigation: securities, from 2006-2010.

Karen makes her home in New Port Richey, Florida. She is licensed to practice in Texas, New York, Washington D.C. and Florida.
