At the Center for Women in Law, our vision is a legal profession that exemplifies equality and justice for all. We convene leaders, generate ideas, and lead change.
The Center for Women in Law is devoted to the success of the entire spectrum of women in law, from first-year law students to the most experienced and accomplished attorneys. Our work combines theory with practice, identifying and addressing the persistent issues facing individual women and the profession as a whole.
The Center was founded in 2009 and is housed at the University of Texas School of Law, but we work with lawyers from law schools across the country. Our fourteen member executive committee guides the strategic mission of our work.
The Center was conceived by women who wanted to leave a legacy for future generations of women lawyers. Today the Center has 50 Founding Members and growing circles of Champions, Leaders, and sustaining donors. Join our work!
