Coffee with the Court is a prestigious program initiated by CWIL interns and established in 2022. The program caters to students at the University of Texas School of Law, providing them with the rare opportunity to engage with distinguished judges who have devoted their lives to the pursuit of justice and preside over both state and federal courts. The program comprises a thought-provoking one-hour panel discussion where the judges share their unique career journeys and insights into the intricate workings of the legal system. The panel discussion delves into the judges’ experiences and perspectives, allowing students to gain valuable insights. Additionally, the panelists explore the best aspects of being a judge, providing students with a deeper understanding of the judiciary’s multifaceted role. Students can also expect to learn more about clerkship expectations. After the panel discussion, students have the opportunity to network with the judges with refreshing coffee and light refreshments. Coffee with the Court provides an unparalleled opportunity for students to gain valuable insights into the legal profession and network with some of the most distinguished judges.
