Annual gifts are used to fund CWIL programs for law students and practitioners. Outright gifts of cash, by check or credit card, are the easiest gifts to make. They are tax deductible in the year given. CWIL also gratefully accepts pledges – gifts that are paid over time. You can make a pledge commitment and set up a payment schedule that works best for you.
Annual gifts are recognized on the Center’s website and in the annual Impact Report. Donors are invited to attend CWIL events such as CWIL’s Biennial Award Luncheon.
Gifts are recognized at the following levels:
Over $25,000
$10,000 – $24,999
$5,000 – $9,999
$1,000 – $4,999
Up to $999
Many employers offer matching gift programs which will match charitable contributions made by their employees. The impact of your gift to The Center for Women in Law may be doubled or possibly tripled. Please consult your company’s human resource department for details or give us a call.

Gifts of Stock
Gifts of appreciated securities and or closely held stock can be extremely beneficial – both to you and CWIL. When you gift stock to CWIL, you may receive an income-tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities, as well as reduce or eliminate capital gain tax.
