Amy Stewart

Founding and Managing Partner, Stewart Law Group PLLC

Amy has expertise in dealing with contract, business torts, breaches of fiduciary duty, products liability, employment, labor, and defending personal injury matters. In addition to her civil trial experience, Amy is a certified Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and has presided over commercial, construction, and employment matters. Recently, she was also certified as a FINRA Arbitrator.

What sets Amy apart from other trial attorneys are the skills she garnered from her experiences in the athletic world.  As a former Division I collegiate athlete and coach, Amy brings a dignified and measured aggressiveness and competitive nature to her legal practice. Clients want her leading and representing their interests as their outside legal counsel. Opposing counsel respect her legal acumen and her tenaciousness. As another client put it, “She is a force to be reckoned with.” As an arbitrator, she is selected because of her patience, impartiality, understanding, flexibility, and she is a good listener.

Amy is frequently asked to speak at local, state, and national legal and non-legal conferences on a number of subjects. In 2018, she will be the Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation Annual Conference and the 2018 ABA Professional Success Summit. Recently, she authored a chapter entitled “Be Your on Advocate By Negotiating Fair Compensation” in the book Her Story: Lessons in Success From Lawyers Who Live It.

In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Big 12 Senior Associate Commissioner Ed Stewart, and their daughter.  Amy is an avid Peloton fan, cooking, painting, and watching her daughter play club volleyball.
