Catherine Robb is an attorney who specializes in Media and First Amendment law and Intellectual Property Litigation. Her practice is focused on commercial and business litigation, First Amendment litigation, pre-publication review and editing, copyright and trademark litigation, general commercial litigation, open government issues and privacy concerns. She advises clients concerning media law issues for an extensive array of content providers including online and traditional newspapers, magazines, radio and broadcasters, cable television stations, production companies and music entities.

Catherine has a law degree from the University of Texas and an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.

In addition to practicing law, Catherine is involved in the community and serves on a number of non-profit boards and committees, including KLRU (the local PBS station where she is the Board Chair) and the Mayor’s Health and Fitness Council, and the advisory councils for the University of Texas School of Undergraduate Studies, the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and the Texas Exes. She is the Founder and Honorary Chair (and former Board Chair) of the LBJ Future Forum. She has previously served on the board of the Austin Film Society, the Austin Music Foundation, the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders, Humanities Texas (where she is an alumni board chair), and the National Center on Poverty Law, among other organizations. She also volunteers for Back on My Feet, Volunteer Legal Services, and Reading is Fundamental.

Catherine lives in Austin, Texas and, when not working, Catherine likes to run, do races (triathlons, adventure races, and sometimes just running races), watch films and hear live music, and enjoy the outdoors.
