Deborah Epstein Henry is an expert on new legal models and the future of the profession, women’s issues and work/life balance. She is the author of LAW & REORDER, the #1 best-selling 2011 ABA Flagship book.  Debbie’s second book, which she has co-authored, entitled FINDING BLISS: Innovative Legal Models for Happy Clients & Happy Lawyers, will be released in January 2015.  Finding Bliss focuses on the future of the legal profession and realigning the effective delivery of legal services and career paths.

A former practicing litigator, Debbie is President of Flex-Time Lawyers LLC, providing consulting and speaking services to law firms, companies and non-profits in the US, Canada and Europe.  Flex-Time Lawyers LLC is well known for running the Best Law Firms for Women initiative with Working Mother Media since 2007 – a national survey to select the top 50 law firms for women and report on industry trends.

Through her consulting and public speaking, Debbie has also developed a national network of over 10,000 lawyers from which she co-founded Bliss Lawyers, a secondment firm placing high caliber lawyers in temporary engagements.  The firm is a new legal model that services Fortune 500 companies, as well as law firms, and operates administratively from a virtual platform, with employees in a dozen states and counting.

Debbie has garnered visibility from The New York Times, NBC Nightly News, NPR, and The Wall Street Journal, among numerous others.  She has received many awards, including most recently being named a 2012 Philadelphia Business Journal “Women of Distinction”.  She received a B.A. from Yale and a J.D. cum laude from Brooklyn Law School.  Debbie clerked for the Honorable Jacob Mishler, in the U.S. District Court, E.D.N.Y.  She is married and the mother of three sons, ages 18, 16 and 13.
