Julie Anne Preng is Office Managing Partner of Korn Ferry’s Stamford office and Managing Partner of the Firm’s Legal Center of Expertise.

After a successful career as an attorney practicing in New York specializing in litigation and corporate/commercial work, Ms. Preng embarked upon executive search, employing her wealth of legal knowledge and experience. She focuses on the recruitment of senior-level executives in the legal and compliance professions.

Before joining Korn/Ferry, Ms. Preng was a partner at another global executive search firm, where she worked primarily in the legal and compliance sectors and was also a member of the firm’s 401k Committee. Prior to that, Ms. Preng was a principal and owner of a firm focusing on the recruitment of attorneys for major law firms.

Ms. Preng has been widely quoted in the New York Times, Inside Counsel magazine, The Oprah Magazine, Compliance Reporter and other publications. She has had several articles published, including articles in the March, 2013 issues of the International In-House Law Journal, and two articles in Inside Counsel Magazine. Ms. Preng was also featured on the cover of Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s “Diversity and the Bar” magazine.

Ms. Preng received her juris doctorate degree from Hofstra University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from New York University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
