Vikki L. Pryor is Principal of Change Create Transform, a thought leadership company that helps mission driven organizations achieve exceptional results. She has held senior leadership positions with Oxford Health Plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Allstate, and the Department of Treasury. Vikki was President & CEO of SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company for 11 years. The first African American female CEO of a life insurance company, she led SBLI USA from its New York focus to a national footprint. She established a bi-lingual company and the first Woman’s initiative and Advisory Board. Under her tenure, 64 percent of employees were multicultural, women comprised 60 percent of the company’s board of directors, and 57 percent of its employees were women. Serving over 300,000 customers with $1.5 billion in assets, the company was twice named among the 50 best places to work in New York City.

Vikki serves on the Board of the New York Forum, the Change Create Foundation and the Dean’s Advisory Council at SUNY Buffalo Law School. She also served on the boards of Keyspan, Riversource Funds, UST Bank, the Small Business and Agricultural Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Partnership for New York City.

Over the years, she has fostered philanthropic efforts which have included fundraising and volunteerism for many organizations. She has served on the National Board of the Girl Scouts of the USA and most recently dedicated a year of service to the American Red Cross in Greater New York as the Regional CEO where she led a regional consolidation and assisted in the largest response since 9/11. Among her numerous awards and recognition are features in The New York Times and Forbes Online. She has been twice named, by Crain’s New York Business, as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in New York, and has been named by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of the 75 Most Powerful African American Women in Business.

Vikki holds a B.A. and J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she has received its Distinguished Alumna Award. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois. She holds an MBA degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a CPA, CLU and ChFC, has an honorary doctorate degree from Sacred Heart University and the Presidential Medallion from Bronx Community College. Vikki is the mother of an adult son, Daniel and enjoys travel, reading, gardening, water sports and scuba diving in her spare time.
