Texas Law students who are 2Ls, 3Ls, or LLMs – and who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing women’s issues and gender parity – are eligible for the Lisa Atlas Genecov and Dr. Jeffrey S. Genecov Endowed Presidential Scholarship and the Wayne B. Duddlesten, Sr./Center for Women in Law Endowment for Excellence Fellowship.
To apply, please submit the following by 5pm CST Friday, June 14, 2024:

Cover page with name and contact information, including UT EID, email address, and the name of the scholarship/fellowship program. (Applicants who wish to apply for both the Atlas Genecov Scholarship and the Duddlesten Fellowship may submit one application and should clearly indicate on the cover page that they are applying to both.)

Personal statement describing past/current commitment to women’s leadership and career goals following law school (not longer than one page, double-spaced).

One or two letters of recommendation from someone familiar with the applicant's commitment to women’s leadership. Signed letters of recommendation should be submitted by the recommender as an email attachment. They must be received by the June 14th deadline. (Please note the Center for Women in Law does not have access to letters of recommendation in the Admissions Office's files.)

If applying for Duddlesten Fellowship, please submit law school transcript.

If applying for Duddlesten Fellowship, please submit brief description of existing education-related debt and plans for financing cost of law school.
Finalists may be asked to appear for Zoom interview during the week of June 24, 2024.
