Kristine Cherek is an attorney, former law professor, writer, and philanthropist. She began her career practicing commercial real estate at an international law firm. By age 33, she was the general counsel of one of the nation’s largest real estate development companies. She later taught property law, real estate transactions, and estates & trusts at a law school in Florida. Kristine currently serves on multiple nonprofit boards where she advocates for arts education, equity and access in higher education, and animal welfare.  

 Kristine earned her bachelor of arts degree from Marquette University and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She is a former college cheerleader and a six-time marathon runner. Kristine resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with her husband and their two rescue cats.
