Maureen Mulligan is a Partner at Peabody & Arnold. She is an experienced trial lawyer who represents clients in complex business disputes including shareholder conflicts, internet and digital media disputes, general commercial disputes and professional liability claims.  Mulligan also represents insurance companies in insurance coverage disputes around the country and is a strategic advisor to  companies on risk management, corporate investigations and fiduciary and ethical duties.  Mulligan has extensive first chair trial experience and has also been trained as a mediator through the Harvard Law School Program of Instruction for Lawyers Mediation Workshop. She is a member of the Bar in Massachusetts and California.

Mulligan is a Commissioner with the American Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession, sits on the Advisory Committee for the Business Litigation Session of the Massachusetts Superior Court, is a founding member and current chair of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s Women Trial Lawyers Task Force and is a member of the section’s National Trial Academy Board.  Mulligan previously  served on the Corporate Board Committee of the Boston Club, which promotes board diversity and provides companies with qualified women candidates for board placement. She has served on the Board of Trustees for the Step One School and Concord Academy. Mulligan previously served as co-chair of the Board of The Legal Advocacy and Resource Center, and was a member of Brown University’s Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women Associates Council.

Mulligan received the Kirsten Christophe Memorial Award for Excellence in Trial and Insurance Law (2015); was named a Top Woman in the Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (2012) and a Top Ten Women Lawyer in the Women’s Business Journal in 2009.
