Austin, TX, April 26-28, 2017 - The Center for Women in Law (CWIL) at the University of Texas Law School is convening the 2017 Women’s Power Summit – Power Plays That Matter at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Austin. This 5th biennial invitation-only event brings over 300 leaders together from the private and public sectors to increase the power of women in the workplace. This year’s speakers include some of the most influential leaders of our time, including activist Gloria Steinem, Senior Advisor to President Obama Valerie Jarrett, journalist Tina Brown, former U.S. Senator Olympia Snowe, ABA President Linda Klein, and former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Melanne Verveer. “What’s special about the Women’s Power Summit,” says CWIL Executive Director Linda Bray Chanow, “is that it allows senior women leaders to share their advice on how women can both thrive in positions of power and use their power to support other female leaders, whether it is women in the boardroom or the courtroom.” Follow #PowerSummit17 and @CWILnews for real time updates during the Summit.
