Edward Clarke Centennial Professor Jane Cohen has received the Holleran Steiker Award, given each year by the School of Undergraduate Studies to the teacher of a signature course who earns the strongest reviews from his/her students.

After attending Yale and Harvard Law School, Jane practiced law in Boston, Massachusetts, and then served as a professor at Boston University before coming to the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. She teaches in the areas of feminist theory, property, and water law and policy. Currently, she is working with a group of scientists who research bioprecipitation—the biological nucleation of ice, rain, and snow—in order to understand its potential legal implications.

The CWIL congratulates Jane on this well-deserved honor.
