2016 Women in Law Institute at Texas Law

June 24, 2016

Location: The University of Texas School of Law
June 24, 2016

Described by one partner at a top law firm as “the most practical tool I’ve encountered in my 20 years of practicing,” the Women in Law Institute is an all-day, intensive workshop for law students, judicial clerks, and LL.M.’s. Participants experienced expert presentations on the essential skills for navigating a successful career in law: effective communication, self-promotion, and networking. Following each lecture, students worked in small groups led by distinguished practitioners (3:1 ratio) to perfect these skills through practice and individualized critiques in a supportive environment.

Law Students, LL.M.s, and Judicial Clerks
Registration is open to all law students, LL.M.s, and judicial clerks. Participants will take part in all three workshops: (1) How to Communicate with Impact; (2) Demonstrate Your Value; and (3) Build Strategic Relationships.
