Executive Director Chanow participated in a special Women’s Leadership Workshop at the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Convention.

This interactive workshop was presented by the Women’s Leadership Network and featured two parts: diversity and legal experts addressing issues relating to implicit bias that women face in the workplace including an opportunity to practice and hone skills relating to identifying and addressing bias, as well as a panel highlighting tools and strategies for improving leadership skills in a non-diverse environment, and how these tools can be affected by implicit bias.

Participation in the inaugural Women’s Leadership Workshop was available to all Conference attendees and provided an opportunity to build leadership skills, understand implicit bias from multiple perspectives, and build professional networks to promote and foster the success of Asian Pacific American women in the legal profession.
