Elizabeth Moore is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of ConEdison, providing electric, gas and steam service to New York City and Westchester County. ConEdison is one of the nation's largest investor-owned energy companies, with approximately $13 billion in annual revenues and $44 billion in assets.
In 2015, Ms. Moore was named to Savoy magazine's list of 2015 Top Black Lawyers and to the Lawyers of Color's Fourth Annual Power List. She was honored by the Police Athletic League at the 27th Annual Women of the Year ceremony. In February 2013, Ms. Moore received the 11th Annual Ida B. Wells-Barnett Justice Award from the New York County Lawyers' Association and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association. Ms. Moore was also honored by The Network Journal as one of the "25 Influential Black Women in Business" and was recognized as a "Leader for a New Century" by the Association of Black Women Attorneys.
The Center for Women in Law, through the October Power Lunch Series, seeks to provide students with role models and mentors by exposing them to prominent women lawyers and other public figures from a wide range of career paths. Attending students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their own career goals in an informal and interactive environment.
