October Power Lunch Series – Jane Webre

Jane Webre (’89) is a partner at Scott, Douglass & McConnico, L.L.P., in Austin. She practices civil appellate law and handles most of the firm’s appeals. Her practice also includes trial court litigation involving complex matters that present significant legal issues, including oil and gas litigation and land use regulation. In 2013, Jane was awarded the Litigation/Appellate Attorney Award by Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association, and since 2007, Best Lawyers has named her on their list of the best lawyers in America in appellate law. In addition, Jane is a frequent speaker at seminars involving appellate procedure issues and analysis of Texas Supreme Court opinions.

The Center for Women in Law, through the October Power Lunch Series, seeks to provide students with role models and mentors by exposing them to prominent women lawyers and other public figures from a wide range of career paths. Attending students have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their own career goals in an informal and interactive environment.
