This fall at the Center for Women in Law we kick off a third year of programming and fundraising centered around the life and legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her husband, Marty Ginsburg. Launched in 2021, the Center’s Ginsburg Initiative honors the couple’s lifelong commitment to gender equality, serving to inspire present and future generations of leaders.
The Center’s Ginsburg Initiative advances gender-neutral policies that support systemic change in the legal profession, such as best practices around work assignments, performance expectations, parental leave, and transparency in career development. To date, we’ve brought together leaders in this work from across the United States for lively and timely discussions, including:
- The Caregiver Penalty (2023)
- Building Successful Coalitions to Advance Gender Equality (2022)
- Innovations in Equality: Advancing the Legal Workplace (Fall 2021)
- Justice Ginsburg’s Impact on Gender Parity in the Practice of Law (Launch Event, 2021)
Do you share our vision for a legal profession that exemplifies equity and justice for all? We invite you to join our Ginsburg Circle to support this initiative and the Center’s diverse programming that drives dialogue and action.
Learn more on our Ginsburg Initiative page and donor honor roll. Donors to the initiative during our fall campaign will receive a pair of Center for Women in Law Ginsburg Initiative socks.
